Yorkshire Ministry Course
In 2008, the NOC will become a founder member of the Yorkshire Regional Training Partnership, an ecumenical, multi-organisation initiative responsible for coordinating the provision of theological education and ministerial formation across the county and for all baptised Christians. Working closely with the universities of Leeds and York St John, partner institutions are tasked with delivering quality and, in many cases, accredited courses for those entering into ordained ministry (IME 1-7) as well as for lay people (Education for Discipleship programmes), trainee Readers and more experienced ministers (CME).
To mark this transition, the NOC will become known as the Yorkshire Ministry Course. Its principal role within the Training Partnership will continue to be the preparation of candidates for ordained ministry, although it will also contribute to other areas as well. So it’s very much business as usual. A new website for the Yorkshire Ministry Course will come on line in 2008.
